A Handicapped parking space is a properly signposted slot, not more than 100 meters away from the specified property. The accessibility is not quoted if there are no steps or obstructions between the parking space and the property.
A Handicapped-Person Pass for disabled persons, under the Austrian rule § 29b StVO 1960, can be obtained from the Magistrate Department MA 15, 1030 Wien (Vienna), Dr. Thomas-Klestil-Platz 8/2. The Movement Area is the area set aside for all wheelchair users. This area should have a minimum measurement of 150 cm x 150 cm for the unhindered turning of the wheelchair. All areas that meet or exceed this requirement are listed in our Online-databank.
